To Rita's immediate and extended families, my sincere sympathies. Rita and I were close friends while growing up in Cochrane, dated for high school dances and related high school events. Rita's parents were so accepting of our high school relationship. Rita: we did not make it to Beauthiaume's corner store, some day we will. RIP my friend, you have earned your rest. Ciao Jim Aquino

My condolences to Rita’s entire family. I first got to know her when we both used to work at the hospital & also got to meet Pierre through her. My late father & Rita were both originally from Cochrane & she was an absolutely wonderful lady to talk to & was always pleasant. I was stunned when i first learned of Pierre’s passing not that long ago & today i’m shocked at hearing news of her passing. May she rest in peace.

Matante Rita was a fearless, strong woman with endless knowledge. Any question I had, she had the answer. Anyone that knew her knows that she would always give her 110% in everything she did. This is a big loss as she will be greatly missed by many including myself. I always looked up to her, and always will! Her caring smile and her infectious laugh would always put a smile on my face. Thank you Matante for everything you did for me, I am forever grateful! May you rest peacefully with Mon oncle Pierre. xox -Krysta-
