Obituary of Maurice Leclerc
Nous avons le regret d'annoncer le décès de M. Maurice Leclerc de Mattice, le lundi 21 novembre 2022, à l'âge de 86 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Bibiane (née Tanguay) de Mattice et ses 3 filles; Rachel (Luc Roy) de Mattice, Lise (Richard Fauchon) d'Ottawa et Manon (Régis Bélanger) de Mattice. Il laisse également dans le deuil ses 6 petits-enfants; Alain, Kenny, Isabelle, Chanelle, Emily et Myriam, ainsi que 2 arrière-petits-enfants; Mickael et Nicolas. Il laisse aussi derrière lui son frère Marcel (Irène) de Gatineau et ses soeurs; Pauline Lachance de London et Gisèle (Gérard Pouliot) de Rockland, ainsi que 2 belles-soeurs; Murielle Leclerc d'Ottawa, Monique Duguay de Hearst ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces, parents et amis (es). Il fut précédé dans la mort par son père Oliva (1984), sa mère Albina (née Laurent, 1986) et ses frères; Paul-Émile, Louis-Guy et Robert ainsi que son gendre Michel Chaussé.
On se souvient de Maurice comme un époux, un père et un grand-père aimant et présent dans la vie de sa famille. Une vie bien remplie d'amour et de respect mutuel au côté de sa tendre épouse Bibiane, ils ont transmis à leurs enfants et petits-enfants de belles valeurs familiales. Ils avaient célébré leur 63e anniversaire de mariage le 5 mai dernier. Avant la retraite, il était bûcheron de profession, mais a aussi été camionneur et accompagnateur à la Maison Arc-en-Ciel.
Homme d'un coeur bon et généreux, il a fait beaucoup de bénévole pour la paroisse, le carnaval et le Club Bienvenue de Mattice. Il était amateur de cartes, de hockey et aimait la musique. Il était membre des Chevaliers de Colomb, ainsi que du Club Bienvenue de Mattice. Maurice laisse de très beaux souvenirs dans le coeur de sa famille et de son entourage.
La famille recevra parents et amis (es) le samedi, 26 novembre 2022 à la salle Gérard Lemieux de Mattice de 13 h 00 à 16 h 00. Les funérailles suivront à 16 h 00 en l'église St-François-Xavier de Mattice avec le Père Duolomane Okamba comme célébrant.

He is survived by his wife Bibiane (born Tanguay) from Mattice and his 3 daughters; Rachel (Luc Roy) from Mattice, Lise (Richard Fauchon) from Ottawa and Manon (Régis Bélanger) from Mattice. He will also be missed by his 6 grandchildren; Alain, Kenny, Isabelle, Chanelle, Emily and Myriam, as well as 2 great-grandchildren; Mickael and Nicolas. He also leaves behind his brother Marcel (Irène) from Gatineau and his sisters; Pauline Lachance from London and Gisèle (Gérard Pouliot) from Rockland, as well as 2 sisters-in-law; Murielle Leclerc from Ottawa, Monique Duguay from Hearst as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Oliva (1984), his mother Albina (born Laurent, 1986) and his brothers; Paul-Émile, Louis-Guy and Robert, as well as his son-in-law Michel Chaussé.
We remember Maurice as a loving husband, father and grandfather who was always present and involved in his family's life. A life well lived, filled with love and mutual respect beside his loving wife Bibiane, they passed on heir family values to their children and grandchildren. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary last spring, on May 5th. Before retirement, he was a lumberjack, but also a truck driver as well as being a support worker for the Maison Arc-en-ciel.
He was a good-hearted and generous gentleman, who devoted a lot of his time for the parish, the Carnaval and the Club Bienvenue in Mattice. He loved to play cards, hockey and enjoyed music. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, as well as the Club Bienvenue in Mattice. Maurice leaves many beautiful memories in the heart of his family and friends.
The family will receive family and friends on Saturday, November 26th, 2022 at the Gérard Lemieux Hall in Mattice from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. The funeral will follow at 4 P.M. in the St-François-Xavier Church in Mattice with Father Duolomane Okamba officiating.
